Auribeau sur Siagne

The hilltop village of Auribeau sur Siagne is in the southwest corner of the Alpes-Maritimes approximately 10 kms from the sea and 50 kms from the nearest ski areas. Located partly in the pré-Alpes of Grasse and the Tanneron, it is rich in vegetation, surrounded by forest. Built on a rocky outcropping, it overlooks the winding Siagne River, perfect for fishing, hiking (GR 51) and for a casual walk through the countryside.

Entrance to this medieval village is through its two fortified entranceways, leading to a discovery of fountains, winding paths leading through the village, flowered stairways, and wonderful examples of medieval architecture. At the summit, you will find its 18th century church, The Sanctuary of  Notre Dame de Vaucluse, located amongst lush vegetation at the edge of a refreshing waterfall. and an orientation table, with a panoramic view over the Peygros Forest, the Tanneron mountains, the Pré-Alpes of Grasse, the Siagne Valley and the Mediterranean Sea.
